Ingredients
Scale
- 20 oz (1 ¼ lb) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour for a gluten-free option)
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp dried basil
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- Freshly ground pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter (or vegan butter for a dairy-free option)
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp parsley, freshly chopped
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, oregano, basil, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss the chicken pieces in the flour mixture until evenly coated.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken in a single layer and cook for 4-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and cooked through.
- Reduce the heat to medium. Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet and allow it to melt. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Stir in the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter and cook for another 1 minute to create a creamy sauce.
- Toss the cooked chicken in the garlic butter sauce, making sure it’s evenly coated.
- Sprinkle the chicken with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Gluten-free flour can replace all-purpose flour for a gluten-free version.
- For a dairy-free option, use vegan butter instead of unsalted butter.
- Serve this dish with a side of vegetables, rice, or pasta for a complete meal.
