Description

This Air Fryer Buffalo Cauliflower recipe is a crispy, spicy, and healthier alternative to traditional buffalo wings. Perfect as a snack or appetizer, it’s quick and easy to make, thanks to the air fryer. The cauliflower is coated with a flavorful buffalo sauce and served crispy without the deep frying!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium head of cauliflower (cut into bite-sized florets)

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 3/4 cup buffalo sauce (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)

  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

  • In a bowl, mix the flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a batter.

  • Dip the cauliflower florets into the batter, ensuring each piece is evenly coated.

  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray, then arrange the battered cauliflower florets in the basket, making sure they are in a single layer.

  • Air fry for about 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the cauliflower is crispy and golden.

  • While the cauliflower is cooking, mix the buffalo sauce with the melted butter in a bowl.

  • Once the cauliflower is cooked, transfer it to the bowl with the buffalo sauce and toss to coat the florets evenly.

  • Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • If you prefer a milder flavor, reduce the amount of buffalo sauce.

  • You can make this recipe gluten-free by substituting the all-purpose flour with a gluten-free flour blend.

  • Adjust the cooking time depending on the size of the cauliflower florets and the crispiness you desire.
