Description

This Air Fryer Parmesan Crusted Chicken with Garlic Mayo is a deliciously crispy and tender chicken dish, perfectly seasoned with Parmesan, breadcrumbs, and a flavorful garlic mayo dip. It’s an easy and quick recipe that makes a great dinner or appetizer, with the bonus of being cooked in an air fryer for a healthier twist.

  • For the Chicken:

    • 2 large boneless and skinless chicken breasts (sliced horizontally to make 4 fillets)

    • 1 tablespoon fresh oregano or parsley leaves to garnish

    For the Garlic Mayo:

    • ¼ cup mayonnaise

    • 2 minced garlic cloves

    • ½ teaspoon onion powder

    • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

    • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

    • Salt to taste

    For the Parmesan Coating:

    • 1 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese

    • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs


Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

  • In a shallow dish, combine the grated Parmesan cheese and panko breadcrumbs. Mix well.

  • Dip each chicken fillet into the Parmesan coating, pressing gently to ensure the fillets are evenly coated on both sides.

  • Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the coated chicken fillets in the basket in a single layer.

  • Cook the chicken fillets in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).

  • While the chicken is cooking, prepare the garlic mayo by mixing together the mayonnaise, minced garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning, garlic powder (if using), and salt in a small bowl.

  • Once the chicken is done, remove it from the air fryer and let it rest for a minute.

  • Serve the chicken fillets with the garlic mayo on the side and garnish with fresh oregano or parsley leaves.

Notes

  • You can use other herbs such as basil or thyme for added flavor.

  • If you prefer a spicier version, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the mayo or the Parmesan coating.
