- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 cups apple pie filling, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- Gradually mix in the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and cinnamon until a soft dough forms.
- Spread half of the cookie dough evenly into the prepared baking dish. Layer the chopped apple pie filling over the dough, then top with the remaining cookie dough.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
