Description
This Bacon Cheeseburger Meatloaf Wellington takes the classic meatloaf to the next level, wrapping savory ground beef and crispy bacon in flaky puff pastry. It’s a deliciously indulgent twist on a favorite comfort food!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare Meatloaf Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, ketchup, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form and Wrap: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet. Place the meatloaf mixture in the center, shaping it into a loaf. Fold the puff pastry over the meatloaf, sealing the edges. Place the wrapped meatloaf seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Apply Egg Wash: Brush the top of the puff pastry with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the meatloaf is cooked through.
- Serve: Let the Meatloaf Wellington rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add pickles or your favorite burger toppings inside the meatloaf mixture. Serve with a side of fries or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
