Description

These delightful Banana Bread Cinnamon Rolls combine the sweetness of ripe bananas with a rich cinnamon-sugar filling, all topped with a creamy glaze. They’re soft, fluffy, and perfect for breakfast or dessert!

  • Dough:
    • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
    • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 1/4 cup sugar
    • 1 packet active dry yeast
    • 1/4 cup warm milk
    • 1 egg
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • Filling:
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 3/4 cup brown sugar
    • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • Glaze:
    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 2 tablespoons milk
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Activate the Yeast:
    • In a small bowl, mix warm milk with sugar and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  • Prepare the Dough:
    • In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas, melted butter, egg, and salt. Add the yeast mixture.
    • Gradually mix in the flour until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes on a floured surface until smooth.
    • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Make the Filling:
    • In a bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until well combined.
  • Assemble the Rolls:
    • Roll out the dough into a large rectangle about 1/4-inch thick.
    • Spread the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the dough.
    • Roll the dough tightly from one long side to the other, forming a log. Cut the log into 12 equal slices.
  • Bake:
    • Place the slices in a greased baking dish. Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Glaze:
    • Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls.
