Description

A deliciously moist banana cake swirled with rich caramel sauce. This Banana Caramel Cake is the perfect dessert for any occasion, combining the natural sweetness of ripe bananas with the indulgence of caramel.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the mashed bananas, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter. Add the remaining batter and drizzle the rest of the caramel sauce on top.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool before serving.

Notes

  • You can top the cake with extra caramel sauce or whipped cream for added flavor.
  • If you prefer, you can use brown sugar for a deeper caramel flavor.
