Description

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce (for frosting)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, mashed bananas, vanilla extract, and caramel sauce, mixing well to combine.
  • Gently fold in the flour until just combined. Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • For the frosting, beat the softened cream cheese and caramel sauce together until smooth and creamy. Once the cupcakes have cooled completely, frost them generously with the caramel cream cheese frosting.

Notes

For added flavor, you can drizzle extra caramel sauce on top of the frosted cupcakes.
