Ingredients
Scale
Base
- 1 bottle (750 ml) dry red wine (Pinot Noir, Merlot, or Tempranillo)
- 1/2 cup brandy or berry-flavored liqueur
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
Fruits
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
- 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
- 1/2 cup fresh blackberries
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
- 1 lime, thinly sliced
Finishing Touch
- 1 cup sparkling water or soda
- Sweetener to taste (optional: honey, agave syrup, or simple syrup)
Instructions
- Prepare the Fruit: Wash and gently slice the strawberries. Thinly slice the lemon and lime. Rinse the blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. Cut fruits into bite-sized pieces to ensure each glass has a colorful and flavorful mix.
- Combine Ingredients: In a large pitcher or bowl, add all the prepared fruit. Pour in the bottle of red wine, fresh orange juice, and brandy or liqueur. Stir gently to mix and coat the fruit with the liquids.
- Chill and Marinate: Cover the pitcher with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate the sangria for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight. This allows the berries and citrus to infuse their natural flavors into the wine, creating a balanced and refreshing taste.
- Add Bubbles and Serve: Just before serving, add the sparkling water or soda to the sangria and stir lightly to combine. Pour the sangria over ice in individual glasses, making sure to include some of the soaked fruit in each glass for visual appeal and enhanced flavor.

- Adjust sweetness by adding honey, agave, or simple syrup to taste based on berry and wine sweetness.
