Description

This Big Mac-inspired casserole combines all the best flavors of a classic burger—beef, cheese, ketchup, and mustard—topped with crispy tater tots for the ultimate comfort food. Quick to make and full of flavor, this dish is a family favorite!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onions are soft. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Stir in the ketchup and mustard, mixing well. Spread the beef mixture evenly into the bottom of a casserole dish.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the beef mixture.
  • Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy, and the cheese is melted.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a layer of pickles on top before baking to bring in that Big Mac taste.
  • If you want a creamier casserole, you can stir in a few tablespoons of sour cream or mayonnaise with the ketchup and mustard.
