Description

 

These decadent Black Forest Doughnuts bring together rich chocolate, sweet maraschino cherries, and chocolate chips for a perfect dessert treat. Baked to perfection, they make a great breakfast or indulgent snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a doughnut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Stir in the milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Fold in the chopped cherries and chocolate chips.
  5. Spoon the batter into the doughnut pan, filling each well about 3/4 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into a doughnut comes out clean.
  7. Allow the doughnuts to cool before removing from the pan.

Notes

  • You can drizzle melted chocolate or glaze over the doughnuts for an extra indulgent touch.
  • If you don’t have a doughnut pan, you can also use a muffin tin for a doughnut hole effect.
