Description
These decadent Black Forest Doughnuts bring together rich chocolate, sweet maraschino cherries, and chocolate chips for a perfect dessert treat. Baked to perfection, they make a great breakfast or indulgent snack.

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a doughnut pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir in the milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Fold in the chopped cherries and chocolate chips.
- Spoon the batter into the doughnut pan, filling each well about 3/4 full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into a doughnut comes out clean.
- Allow the doughnuts to cool before removing from the pan.
Notes
- You can drizzle melted chocolate or glaze over the doughnuts for an extra indulgent touch.
- If you don’t have a doughnut pan, you can also use a muffin tin for a doughnut hole effect.
