- 1 lb British bangers
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the British bangers over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add 2 tbsp of butter and garlic. Cook until fragrant.
- Add the steak bites to the skillet and cook until desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In a separate skillet, melt the remaining butter and add the mashed potatoes. Cook until crispy on the edges.
- Sprinkle cheese over the potatoes and let it melt.
- Serve the bangers and steak bites over the cheesy smashed potatoes.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add some sautéed onions or caramelized shallots to the skillet with the steak. Feel free to swap cheddar cheese for another type of cheese, like mozzarella or gouda.
