- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 green cabbage, chopped
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1/2 cup uncooked white rice
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add onion and garlic, cooking until onion is translucent.
- Stir in chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, rice, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until cabbage is tender and rice is cooked through.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
For a slightly tangy flavor, add a splash of vinegar before serving. For a lower-carb option, replace rice with cauliflower rice and adjust cooking time.
