Description

This hearty Cabbage Soup is a comforting blend of ground beef, fresh cabbage, and vegetables simmered in a savory tomato broth. It offers the delicious flavors of cabbage rolls in a simplified, satisfying soup form.


Ingredients

  • 1 large cabbage, chopped
  • 2 small onions, diced
  • 2 cans of stewed tomatoes
  • 1 pouch Lipton Onion Soup Mix (any flavor)
  • 1 large celery, chopped very small
  • 12 pounds ground beef

Instructions

  • Prepare the Vegetables: Fill a large saucepan halfway with water and bring to a boil. Add the diced onions, chopped celery, and cabbage. Reduce heat and bring to a simmer.
  • Cook the Ground Beef: In a separate pan, cook 1-2 pounds of ground beef until browned, draining any excess fat.
  • Combine Ingredients: Add the stewed tomatoes and Lipton Onion Soup Mix to the simmering vegetables. Mix well.
  • Add Beef and Season: Add the cooked ground beef to the soup. Stir in any additional spices you like (e.g., salt, pepper, garlic powder). Let it simmer for a few more minutes.
  • Taste and Adjust: Taste the soup and adjust seasoning as needed.
