Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup diced apples
  • 1/2 cup caramel bits

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the diced apples and caramel bits.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For added flavor, sprinkle a little cinnamon on the dough before baking.
