- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 bag frozen tater tots
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion until beef is browned and onion is tender; drain.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup, salt, and pepper.
- Pour mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Arrange tater tots on top of cheese.
- Bake in preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
Notes
- You can substitute the cream of mushroom soup with cream of chicken soup if preferred.
- For extra flavor, you can add a tablespoon of mustard or ketchup to the beef mixture for a more “burger-like” taste.
- Feel free to use a different cheese such as mozzarella for a milder flavor.
