Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (12 oz) cheese tortellini
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 pound beef steak, cubed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese

Instructions

  • Cook the cheese tortellini according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and cook for 5-7 minutes until softened and lightly caramelized.
  • Season the cubed beef steak with salt and pepper. Add the beef to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
  • Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce slightly.
  • Stir in the shredded provolone cheese, letting it melt into the sauce.
  • Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet and gently toss to coat the pasta in the rich provolone sauce.
  • Serve hot, garnished with additional cheese or fresh herbs if desired.
