Ingredients
Scale
- For the Filling:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- ½ tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp cumin
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- For the Wraps:
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Optional Garnishes:
- 1 cup salsa
- Fresh cilantro, chopped
- Sour cream or guacamole for serving
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the finely chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to allow the spices to fully combine with the beef. Remove from heat.
- Lay the flour tortillas flat on a clean surface.
- Divide the beef mixture evenly among the tortillas, spreading it out in the center of each.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the beef mixture.
- Roll up each tortilla tightly, folding in the sides as you go to form a wrap.
- Heat a clean skillet over medium heat and place the wraps seam-side down. Cook for 1-2 minutes on each side, or until the wraps are golden brown and the cheese has melted inside.
- Serve the wraps with salsa, chopped cilantro, and sour cream or guacamole if desired.
Notes
- You can add more vegetables like bell peppers or zucchini to the filling for extra flavor and nutrition.
- For a spicier kick, add some chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the beef mixture.
