Description

This cheesy baked cauliflower dish transforms humble florets into a creamy, indulgent side that’s perfect for any meal. With a rich cheese sauce and a crispy topping, it’s a crowd-pleaser!


Ingredients

  • 1 head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Steam the cauliflower florets until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour until smooth.
  • Gradually whisk in the milk until the mixture thickens.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese until melted.
  • Place the steamed cauliflower in a baking dish and pour the cheese sauce over it.
  • Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider mixing in cooked bacon or breadcrumbs on top before baking.
  • Make sure to adjust the salt and pepper to taste.
