- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the diced onion and green pepper, cooking until the vegetables are softened.
- Stir in the marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Split the hamburger buns and place them on a baking sheet.
- Brush the garlic butter on the insides of the buns and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
- Toast the buns under the broiler for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Spoon the meat mixture onto the bottom half of each bun.
- Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Place the assembled sandwiches back under the broiler until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Cover with the top half of the buns and serve hot.
