Description

Cheesy Jalapeno Popper Balls are the perfect bite-sized snack bursting with creamy, cheesy goodness and a kick of spice. Made with cream cheese, cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, and fresh jalapenos, these balls are breaded and fried to golden perfection. Ideal for parties or a fun appetizer, they’ll quickly become a favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled bacon (about 4 strips)
  • 46 fresh jalapenos, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, chopped jalapenos, and green onions. Mix until well blended.
  • Using your hands or a small cookie scoop, form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  • Set up a breading station: Place the flour in one bowl, the beaten eggs in another, and the panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  • Roll each cheese ball in flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C). Fry the cheese balls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
  • Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra heat, leave some seeds in the jalapenos. These popper balls are perfect for parties or as a fun appetizer!
