Description

A creamy, cheesy dip with the perfect balance of savory sausage, spicy green chilies, and melted cheddar cheese. This easy-to-make dip is perfect for game day, parties, or any occasion where you need a crowd-pleasing appetizer. Serve it hot with tortilla chips or veggies for the ultimate dipping experience!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned and crumbled, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the can of diced tomatoes with green chilies (with liquid) and the cream cheese to the skillet. Stir until the cream cheese is fully melted and the mixture is well combined.
  • Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, continuing to stir until the cheese is melted and the dip is smooth and creamy.
  • Serve hot with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables for dipping.

Notes

  • If you prefer a spicier dip, you can add extra diced jalapeños or hot sauce.
  • For a smoother dip, you can blend the mixture in a food processor after cooking.
  • You can keep the dip warm in a slow cooker on the “keep warm” setting for serving at parties.
