For the Shrimp Base:
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the Topping:
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in the chicken broth, heavy cream, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes, just until they start to turn pink. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
- Reduce the sauce slightly, then stir in the cheddar and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet and transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with melted butter. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the shrimp and sauce.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the topping is golden and crispy.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
