- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In three separate bowls, place flour in one, beaten eggs in another, and a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese in the third.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour, dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until golden brown on both sides.
- Place chicken in a baking dish, cover with marinara sauce, and top with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a sprinkle of grated Parmesan on top before baking.
