Ingredients
-
15.25 oz chocolate cake mix (dry, no added ingredients)
-
½ cup vegetable oil
-
2 large eggs
-
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
-
1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for chewier texture)
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
-
In a large bowl, combine the dry chocolate cake mix and cornstarch (if using).
-
Add vegetable oil and eggs to the dry mix and stir until a soft dough forms.
-
Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
-
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
-
Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until the edges are set but centers still look slightly soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
-
Cornstarch helps create a chewier texture but is optional.
-
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
- For extra fudginess, slightly underbake and let cookies finish setting on the baking sheet.
