- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- Ingredients required on cake mix box (eggs, oil, water)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to the temperature indicated on the cake mix box. Grease and flour a cake pan.
- Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions. Pour half of the batter into the cake pan.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread the cheesecake mixture over the cake batter in the pan.
- Pour the remaining cake batter over the cheesecake layer.
- Bake according to package instructions. Let the cake cool completely.
- In a small saucepan, heat the chocolate chips and heavy cream over low heat until smooth. Pour the ganache over the cooled cake.
- Refrigerate until the ganache is set. Enjoy!
