Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • Ingredients required on cake mix box (eggs, oil, water)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to the temperature indicated on the cake mix box. Grease and flour a cake pan.
  • Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions. Pour half of the batter into the cake pan.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread the cheesecake mixture over the cake batter in the pan.
  • Pour the remaining cake batter over the cheesecake layer.
  • Bake according to package instructions. Let the cake cool completely.
  • In a small saucepan, heat the chocolate chips and heavy cream over low heat until smooth. Pour the ganache over the cooled cake.
  • Refrigerate until the ganache is set. Enjoy!
