Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  • Stir in the flour and baking soda until a dough forms. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For an extra treat, try adding nuts or a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking.
