Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually mix into the creamed mixture.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are golden brown.
- Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
- You can use white chocolate chips or butterscotch chips for a different flavor variation.
- If you prefer a softer texture, underbake slightly and let the bars cool in the pan.
