This easy, addictive treat combines buttery toffee, crispy saltine crackers, and melty chocolate. It’s the perfect holiday snack that’s quick to make and always a crowd-pleaser!

- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 sleeve saltine crackers
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
- Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar together.
- Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Pour the butter mixture over the saltine crackers, spreading evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top.
- Let sit for a few minutes until the chocolate chips melt, then spread evenly.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts over the top if desired.
- Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
Notes
- For a variation, you can use white chocolate chips or drizzle caramel over the chocolate.
- This treat can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
