Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a saucepan, heat milk until steaming, but not boiling.
  • In a bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, cornstarch, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
  • Pour mixture back into the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
  • Pour the custard into the pie crust.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until set.
  • Let cool before serving.
