- 2 cups chopped apples
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×9 inch pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Gradually blend in the flour mixture, then fold in the apples and walnuts.
- Spread batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before serving.
