Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk or cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp butter (for cooking)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)
  • Maple syrup (for serving)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cinnamon Rolls:
    • Open the can of refrigerated cinnamon rolls and cut each roll into 4 bite-sized pieces.
  • Make the French Toast Mixture:
    • In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
  • Coat the Cinnamon Roll Pieces:
    • Dip each piece of the cinnamon roll dough into the egg mixture, making sure they are fully coated.
  • Cook the Bites:
    • Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
    • Add the coated cinnamon roll pieces to the skillet in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
    • Cook each piece for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Serve:
    • Once cooked, remove the bites from the skillet and transfer them to a serving plate.
    • Drizzle the icing that came with the cinnamon rolls over the top, or dust with powdered sugar.
    • Serve with maple syrup on the side for dipping, if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of nutmeg or a pinch of salt to the egg mixture.
