This Cinnamon Sugar Donut Sweet Bread brings the irresistible flavor of cinnamon-sugar donuts into a soft and fluffy loaf form. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a sweet treat, this easy-to-make bread is sure to be a favorite.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, oil, egg, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a cinnamon-sugar coating, you can brush the top of the loaf with melted butter and sprinkle a cinnamon-sugar mixture on top after baking.
  • Ensure not to overmix the batter to keep the bread soft and light.
