Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Form Rissoles: Shape the mixture into 1 1/2-inch (4 cm) round patties, about 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) thick.
  • Cook Rissoles: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the rissoles in batches for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake Rissoles: Bake the rissoles in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  • Serve: Serve hot with your favorite sides or dipping sauces.
