- 1 loaf French bread, cubed
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
For the Sauce:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup bourbon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350F (175C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Prepare the Bread Pudding: Place the cubed French bread in a large mixing bowl. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour this mixture over the bread cubes and gently stir to combine. Fold in the raisins, chopped pecans, and melted butter.
- Bake: Pour the bread mixture into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the pudding is set and the top is golden brown.
- Prepare the Sauce: In a small saucepan, combine the heavy cream, granulated sugar, and butter. Heat over medium heat until the mixture is smooth and slightly thickened. Stir in the bourbon, if using.
- Serve: Let the bread pudding cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with the warm sauce. Enjoy!
