Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger or 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp dried chamomile or dried peppermint tea (or your favorite calming herbal blend)
  • Optional: pinch of black pepper (to enhance turmeric absorption)

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, warm 1/2 cup honey over low heat until just liquid, then remove from heat.
  • Add 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice, 1/2 tsp ground ginger, 1/4 tsp ground turmeric, and 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon, stirring until combined.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of dried chamomile or peppermint tea into each cavity of a silicone mold or ice cube tray, then pour the honey mixture over the herbs.
  • Let the tea bombs cool completely until they solidify; refrigerate for faster setting.
  • Once hardened, pop the tea bombs out of the mold.
  • To use, place a tea bomb in a mug, pour hot water over it, and stir until fully dissolved for a cozy, cold-soothing drink.
