  • 1 cup sugar (divided)
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a cake pan, melt the butter and then sprinkle with 1/2 cup of sugar. Add the cranberries evenly on top and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until combined. Gradually mix the wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
  • Pour the batter over the layer of cranberries in the cake pan.
