Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together butter, cream cheese, and 1 cup of sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Beat in egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  • Gradually mix in the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  • In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.
  • Roll dough into 1-inch balls, then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
  • Place on prepared baking sheet and flatten slightly with the bottom of a glass.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a crispier texture, bake the cookies a minute or two longer, but keep an eye on them to prevent overbaking.
  • If you prefer a stronger cinnamon flavor, increase the cinnamon in the coating to 1 1/2 tablespoons.
