- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, cream cheese, and 1 cup of sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- Gradually mix in the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls, then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
- Place on prepared baking sheet and flatten slightly with the bottom of a glass.
- Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a crispier texture, bake the cookies a minute or two longer, but keep an eye on them to prevent overbaking.
- If you prefer a stronger cinnamon flavor, increase the cinnamon in the coating to 1 1/2 tablespoons.
