Description
This rich and indulgent pecan praline butter spread combines toasted pecans, brown sugar, butter, and cream for a sweet, creamy treat. Perfect for spreading on toast, pancakes, waffles, or even as a decadent dip!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup pecans
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Toast the pecans: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the pecans on a baking sheet and toast them in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until they are fragrant and lightly golden.
- Make the praline mixture: In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar, butter, and heavy cream. Cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture becomes smooth.
- Add flavor: Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
- Combine with pecans: Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the toasted pecans.
- Cool: Allow the mixture to cool before serving. The spread will thicken as it cools.
Notes
- Store the pecan praline butter in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
- This spread can be warmed slightly before serving if it thickens too much in the fridge.
- Feel free to add a little more vanilla extract for a richer flavor.
