Description

This rich and indulgent pecan praline butter spread combines toasted pecans, brown sugar, butter, and cream for a sweet, creamy treat. Perfect for spreading on toast, pancakes, waffles, or even as a decadent dip!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Toast the pecans: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the pecans on a baking sheet and toast them in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until they are fragrant and lightly golden.
  • Make the praline mixture: In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar, butter, and heavy cream. Cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture becomes smooth.
  • Add flavor: Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  • Combine with pecans: Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the toasted pecans.
  • Cool: Allow the mixture to cool before serving. The spread will thicken as it cools.

Notes

  • Store the pecan praline butter in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • This spread can be warmed slightly before serving if it thickens too much in the fridge.
  • Feel free to add a little more vanilla extract for a richer flavor.
