Ingredients
-
1 lb ground beef
-
8 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
1 small onion, diced
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup beef broth
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1 tsp paprika
-
Salt & pepper, to taste
-
Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
-
Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
-
Cook the Beef: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through (about 6-8 minutes).
-
Sauté Vegetables: Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef and cook until the onion is softened, about 3 minutes.
-
Make the Sauce: Pour in the beef broth and bring the mixture to a simmer. Stir in the heavy cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese. Add the paprika, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir the sauce until the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy.
-
Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce.
-
Serve: Serve the creamy beef and pasta in bowls, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
-
You can use ground turkey or chicken as a lighter alternative to ground beef.
-
Feel free to add some vegetables such as spinach or bell peppers for added flavor and nutrition.
-
If you like a thicker sauce, let it simmer a little longer until it reaches your desired consistency.
