Description

A bold and flavorful dish, this creamy Cajun chicken pasta combines tender chicken, sautéed peppers, and a rich, cheesy sauce, all tossed with fettuccine pasta for a satisfying meal. Perfect for a weeknight dinner with a touch of spice!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Season chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning on both sides.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until no longer pink in the center, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and slice into strips.
  • In the same skillet, add bell peppers, onion, and garlic. Cook until vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.
  • Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese to the skillet. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is creamy.
  • Add cooked pasta and sliced chicken to the skillet. Toss until everything is well coated in the sauce.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For a milder version, reduce the Cajun seasoning or use a mild version.
  • You can substitute fettuccine with any pasta of your choice, such as penne or spaghetti.
  • Add extra vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for added flavor and nutrition.
