These Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites are a delicious, crunchy, and spicy appetizer perfect for any occasion. Salmon cubes are breaded, fried until crispy, and tossed in a sweet, tangy, and spicy Bang Bang sauce, delivering an irresistible burst of flavors. Serve them as an appetizer or a main dish!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) salmon, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Juice of ½ lime

Instructions

  • Prepare the Salmon Bites: Pat salmon cubes dry with paper towels and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Dredge each salmon piece in flour, dip into the beaten eggs, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  • Fry the Salmon Bites: Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the salmon bites in batches for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden and crispy. Remove and place on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  • Make the Bang Bang Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice until smooth.
  • Coat or Serve: Toss the crispy salmon bites in the Bang Bang sauce, or serve the sauce on the side for dipping.
  • Garnish and Enjoy: Garnish with chopped scallions, sesame seeds, or a sprinkle of lime zest for added flair.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of sriracha for more or less heat depending on your preference.
  • You can serve these bites with a side of rice, vegetables, or a refreshing salad.
