Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites offer a delicious combination of crispy, tender salmon pieces coated in a tangy, sweet, and spicy sauce. The crunchy panko crust pairs perfectly with the rich and creamy sauce, making these bite-sized treats an irresistible appetizer or snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Cooking oil for frying

Instructions

  • Season the salmon pieces with salt and pepper.
  • Dredge the salmon in cornstarch, dip in beaten egg, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  • Heat cooking oil in a pan and fry the salmon until crispy and cooked through.
  • In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, honey, and lime juice.
  • Toss the fried salmon in the sauce until well coated.
  • Serve the salmon bites sprinkled with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying the salmon to ensure a crispy crust.
  • For extra heat, you can add more sweet chili sauce or a dash of hot sauce to the sauce mixture.
  • You can substitute the salmon with other fish or even chicken for a different variation.
