Description

These crispy tostadas are piled high with seasoned ground beef, refried beans, and a fresh medley of toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and cilantro. Perfectly complemented with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole, they’re a quick and satisfying meal for any day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 8 tostada shells
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Salsa, sour cream, and guacamole for topping

Instructions

  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease.
  • Add the taco seasoning and cook according to the package instructions.
  • Heat the refried beans in a separate saucepan until warmed through.
  • Assemble the tostadas by spreading a layer of refried beans on each shell, followed by the ground beef mixture.
  • Top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, red onion, and cilantro.
  • Serve with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole on the side.

Notes

  • Feel free to swap the ground beef for ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • Add a squeeze of lime over the toppings for an extra burst of freshness.
  • Store leftover assembled tostadas in the refrigerator (without toppings) for up to 1 day.
