Instructions
- Prepare the Filling:
- Heat a small amount of oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add the cabbage, carrots, bell pepper, bean sprouts, and protein (if using).
- Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
- Remove from heat and let the filling cool slightly.
- Assemble the Spring Rolls:
- Place a spring roll wrapper on a clean, dry surface with one corner pointing toward you.
- Place a generous tablespoon of the filling near the bottom corner.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, fold in the sides, and roll tightly toward the top corner.
- Seal the edge with a dab of water.
- Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Fry the Spring Rolls:
- Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the spring rolls in batches, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve:
- Serve the crispy spring rolls warm with sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, or your favorite dipping sauce.
