Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 12 ounces ziti pasta
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream

Instructions

  • Cook ziti according to package directions; drain.
  • Add cooked ziti to the sauce and mix well.
  • In a greased crock pot, layer the ziti mixture, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, and dollops of sour cream.
  • Cover and cook on Low for 4 to 6 hours.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey for ground beef if you prefer a leaner option.
