Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup uncooked pasta

Instructions

  • Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot.
  • Pour marinara sauce and chicken broth over the chicken.
  • Add garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours, until the chicken is cooked through.
  • Remove chicken and shred with two forks.
  • Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and uncooked pasta.
  • Cook on high for an additional 30 minutes, until the pasta is tender.
  • Add shredded chicken back to the crock pot and serve hot.

Notes

  • Feel free to add extra vegetables like spinach or bell peppers to make the soup even more hearty.
  • For a thicker soup, you can reduce the amount of chicken broth slightly.
  • If you prefer a richer flavor, substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half or whole milk.
