Crock Pot Mississippi Roast is a simple, yet incredibly flavorful dish with tender, shredded beef in a savory, tangy sauce. The combination of ranch seasoning, au jus gravy mix, butter, and pepperoncini peppers creates a rich and delicious meal that’s perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 (3-4 lb) chuck roast
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 56 pepperoncini peppers

Instructions

  • Place chuck roast in the crock pot.
  • Sprinkle ranch seasoning mix and au jus gravy mix over the roast.
  • Place stick of butter on top of the roast.
  • Add pepperoncini peppers around the roast.
  • Cook on low for 8 hours.
  • Shred beef and serve with the juices.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add more pepperoncini peppers or include some of the pepper’s brine.
  • This roast pairs well with mashed potatoes, rice, or on a sandwich bun.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
