A hearty and comforting dish, this Crockpot Cheesesteak Potato Casserole combines tender top sirloin steak, bell peppers, onions, and baby potatoes, all slow-cooked in a savory beef broth and topped with melted provolone cheese. - 1.5 lbs top sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1.5 lbs baby potatoes, halved
- 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine sliced steak, onion, bell peppers, potatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place half of the steak and vegetable mixture in the bottom of the crockpot.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded provolone cheese on top.
- Repeat with the remaining steak and vegetable mixture, followed by the rest of the cheese.
- Pour beef broth over the top of the mixture.
- Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until potatoes are tender.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce or hot sauce to the beef broth before cooking.
- If you prefer a crispier texture, you can broil the casserole in the oven for 2-3 minutes after it’s done in the crockpot.
