Instructions
-
Prepare the Chicken Marinade: In a bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, sesame oil, low-sodium soy sauce, minced garlic, and ginger. Add the thinly sliced chicken breasts to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
-
Make the Slaw: In a separate bowl, mix together the coleslaw mix, green onions, sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and honey. Stir to combine and set aside.
-
Cook the Chicken: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes, or until fully cooked through, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and set aside.
-
Prepare the Wonton Shells: Preheat oil in a pan to deep fry. Gently fry the wonton wrappers in hot oil until crispy and golden brown. Drain excess oil by placing the shells on a paper towel.
-
Assemble the Tacos: Fill each wonton shell with a portion of the cooked chicken, followed by the prepared Asian slaw. Drizzle with sweet chili sauce and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped cilantro. Serve immediately.
Notes
-
You can use store-bought coleslaw mix or prepare your own by shredding cabbage and carrots.
-
For a spicier kick, you can add chili flakes or sriracha sauce to the slaw.
-
Wonton wrappers can be baked instead of fried for a lighter version.
